CRA’s graduate training programme has been approved by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers in recognition of our passion for training our high calibre graduates to meet the ever increasing demands and challenges of the Nuclear Industry.

We are also in discussion with Imperial College, London to provide a nuclear engineering doctorate programme to develop practical expertise in nuclear safety and risk assessment for the next generation of nuclear engineers who will deliver the world’s nuclear future.

PSA/HFA Forum, Warrington, 8 & 9 September 2011

Probabilistic Safety Analysis / Human Factors Assessment Forum

The CRA Forum was an excellent opportunity to build on the success of the 2010 inaugural event by providing an arena for nuclear safety practitioners to gain a better understanding of Probabilistic Safety Analysis (PSA) and Human Factors Assessment (HFA) and their application in the nuclear industry. These events have also been an important event showcasing the skills of CRA consultants and providing professional development opportunities to all.

For more information on our PSA/HFA events, see the  PSA/HFA   PSA/HFA Forum page.

Our Commitment to the Nuclear Future

Managing Director Jasbir Sidhu shows CRA’s commitment to developing the skills, knowledge and experience of his team, demonstrated by signing the Cogent Nuclear Sector Skills Pledge. He is seen here signing the pledge with the Chair of the National Skills Academy Nuclear (NSAN) SE/E Steering Group, Dr Pat Upson, the SE/E Regional Manager, Robin Tinkler, and members of the Steering Group. CRA is an Associate Employer member of the National Skills Academy Nuclear and a member of the South East and East Region Steering Group.  CRA views membership of the Skills Academy as a significant opportunity to influence the development of skills for future generations of young people joining the industry.

CRA Hosts Nuclear Safety and Regulation event for the Nuclear Institute Young Generation Network

CRA was proud to have hosted the inaugural YGN Rough Guide to Nuclear Safety and Regulation with substantial organisational input by our own Mike Zammett.

The key aim of the event was to introduce safety assurance and regulation with a focus on the nuclear industry in the UK. It also provided an international perspective on safety and regulation in this as well as in other industries.
